God made us unique because He loves diversity (not the woke kind)
Jesus prayed for unity:
John 17:22-23 [22]The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; [23]I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
Paul did too:
Ephesians 4:1-3 [1]Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, [2]with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, [3]being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Unfortunately most of our churches do not have this Biblical unity.
Many churches are like the Corinthians who have hero-worship and personality-driven. Or unwise like the audience of James.
Others misunderstood unity as uniformity. They looked alike, they talk alike, they dressed alike and they only associate with people who looked, talked and dressed like themselves. Honestly some churches looked more like a cult than a church.
In an effort to achieve "unity," they erase the diversity of talents and personalities inside the church.
They are making clones (shall we call them clowns?) of whatever they think is ideal.
Some believers, in the desire to become "mature," purposely erase the uniqueness which God stamped in His every creatures.
God loves diversity (not the unbiblical woke kind) and you can see it in the shapes and colors of the universe and the various personality types among believers.
Erasing these in favor of somber Christianity, a Christianity with no happiness, is not biblical.
Yes we walk by means of the Spirit and mortify the flesh, but it doesn't mean not smiling, being uptight and anti-social.
Some people due to wrong teaching become obnoxious when they become Christians. They become judgmental, overbearing and imprudent.
The truth of the matter is God gave us our personalities and when we're saved God intended to use those unique personalities for His glory and to reach others.
They are not supposed to be suppressed as being ungodly. God gave them and we have to treat them as gifts from God Himself.
We need to redeem them by allowing the Word or God to transform us from the inside out. In that sense the Word redeemed us.
Let us learn to accept diversity (not the woke kind) in unity. People don't know it but happiness and holiness can co-exist. And if you ask me, Christians should be the happiest people on earth. Why not? We're redeemed and have eternal life.
