WHAT IF ISRAEL IS IN UNBELIEF? WILL GOD STILL JUDGED THOSE "THAT JUDGED ISRAEL?"

WHAT IF ISRAEL IS IN UNBELIEF? WILL GOD STILL JUDGED THOSE "THAT JUDGED ISRAEL?" One of the arguments as to why Christians shouldn't support Israel is because they killed Christ, and therefore under judgment. As such they are outside God's protection and her "judge-ers" are justified in hating her.  Yet in Habakkuk 1 we have Habakkuk crying out to the Lord against the evil of Israel. At that point of her history she is clearly outside God's will and in a position of judgment. God's response? "I will use Babylon to judge Israel." This is where things get interesting. Let us meditate on Habakuk's words: Habakkuk 1:12-17 [12]Are You not from everlasting, O Lord, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. You, O Lord, have appointed them to judge; And You, O Rock, have established them to correct. [13]Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously?...

Israel is Still God's People

Passages that show Israel is still "HIS PEOPLE" and prophetic passages that can only be fulfilled with an Israel nation in the land: Romans 11:1-2 [1]I say then, God has not rejected HIS people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. [2]God has not rejected HIS people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? Daniel 9:27 [27]And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate." Matthew 24:15-22 [15]"Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), [16]then tho...

Refuting Preterism

When I defended Israel's right to exist in the land by quoting passages that will only be fulfilled with Israel occupation of the land including Ez 38-39 which detailed a future Gog and Magog attack on a nation at peace and living without walls, someone claimed that it was fulfilled in AD 70 and that it is the same as Rev 20:8. Here is my answer: Rev 20:8 isn't fulfilled in AD 70. Chronologically it followed Satan's release after the millennial kingdom. Revelation 20:1-8 [1]Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. [2]And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; [3]and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. [4]Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was ...

Should Evangelicals Support Israel Part 2

Should Evangelicals Support Israel Part 2 In my previous post I discussed why evangelicals should support Israel. The primary basis is of course Gen 12:1-3 and Zech 2:8. Also add to that history's record of deleting from existence anyone who opposed her. I don't think it will be different for future persecutors, including the person behind them all, Satan (read Revelation).  Now the problem is there are evangelicals who think that because Israel rejected Jesus and crucified her, she is no longer God's people. This comes into various forms including some appropriating her Jewishness for themselves, and some simply ignoring the fact that God has two peoples in the Bible. Then add to that some are rewriting history so that Israel is basically made a fake nation with fake history and therefore fake future. It is a simple sleight of the hand by shifting everything that is Isaac'sbto Ishmael's. Or deleting her history as a product of biased Judeo-Christian West, includi...

Should Christians Support Israel?

Should Christians Support Israel? If you take Gen 12:1-3 and Zech 2:8 seriously you should.  Zechariah 2:8 [8]For thus says the Lord of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. One does not have to be a black belt to know that there is a reason why eye gouging is forbidden in any contact sports (the legal ones anyway). You can strengthen any muscles you have but not the eyeballs. Some are naturally endowed with bulging eyes but I don't think that affords them additional toughness. If anything it adds to a target area. Almost all self defense systems incorporate eye gouging in its repertoire because no matter how big the assailant is, his eyes remained soft. Of course if you miss or do it half-heartedly you will only enraged the guy, and well... NOW imagine doing it to God's "apple of the eye" (pupil). Gen 12:1-3 formed God's policy regarding Israel. This provides the fram...
