Unfortunately marami ring believers don't get it
Don't argue with unbelievers. They don't have the Holy Spirit and they won't get what you're sharing. Rather than be sidetracked into unprofitable debate, focus on the message of life. If they reject it, leave.
Unbelievers, due to amoeba of unbelief, will reject your message and accommodate it to his existing worldview. He will accept that Jesus died for his sins, was buried and resurrected and that by faith in Him you have eternal life, and then on the next breath insists you need works to go to heaven. Unless the Holy Spirit convicted them of sin, righteousness and judgement, you're wasting your breath.
Our job is not to convert people. Our job is to share the message and let the Holy Spirit convict them. If they reject the conviction of the Spirit, no skill in communication will make them believe.
Without the Spirit, they won't get it.
Unfortunately, many believers don't get it either. Yes they believe in Jesus for eternal life. Yes they believe in grace salvation. Then on the next breath insists on sanctification by law. Yes they believe in doctrine. Then on the next breath, insists that it is not enough, we need human writings as well (their favorite author-theologians of course).
It is hard to discuss with these people. They are so full of themselves, there is no place to pour knowledge. They're so convinced they're the only right that anything they didn't agree with is dismissed as heresy.
Proverbs 26:4 [4]Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him.
A foolish believer is convinced he is right. Even if you show him why he is wrong using the Bible, he'll insist he is right because that is how it has always been taught, that is what the denomination teach or because he is the pastor.
In the absence of humility, he'll place his own preference or standard as the standard to measure everyone else. Those most like him are holy, and those who opposed him are worldly. Ironically this shows he is immature and the worldly one.
Where the Bible is silent, we should also be silent. It is an area of freedom where brothers can disagree graciously.
Weak believers are always quick to judge. Since he didn't understand the whole counsel of God, he mistook the tree for the forest. Everything is judged based on his favorite topic.
This is sad. There are so many topics in the Bible that are explicitly mentioned we don't need to invent new ones by stringing verses out of context.
We should listen to what the Spirit says. That means we take the Bible as it is written and not import our preconceived notions into it.
If we do, we'll maximize our learning process.
