Star of the show without being the star of the show: being the MVP by supporting others to become better

 

Ito yung tinuro kong ilustrasyon noong Sunday. Sa ML, mahalaga ang team work. It doesn't matter kung gaano ka kagaling, if you don't know how to work as part of a team, you'll lose (and if it is a ranked game, lose a star). Aanuhin mo ang MVP kung bawas naman ang iyong star? Mas mabuti pang support ka lang (you play second fiddle) pero panalo naman. Hindi ka nga MVP, plus star naman.

Sa game na ito kagabi, I am not the most dominant player in our team. Tatlo sa aking team mates have double and even triple the number of kills I have. Yet I am the MVP for one reason- I supported my teammates. I have 35 assists and those assists carry us to victory.  

You see you can be the MVP just by supporting someone else to be better. I protected my teammates by planting "bombs," removing any controls on them and "trapping" the enemies themselves by using my second skill. That way my other teammates can claim the "kill."

In real life ganuon din. If you're part of a team you should learn to work as part of and with your team. Dapat alam mo ang iyong roles and do them well. Huwag kang lalagpas at sasaklaw sa roles ng iba. In a team game, walang roles na walang halaga; in fact most of the "supporting" roles, or behind the scenes roles are more important than the "visible" roles. 

Kung ikaw ay teammate na Jollibee, gusto mo laging ikaw ang bida, you'll definitely bring your team to ruin. You might be the MVP (that is you have human accolades) but why does it matter if you lose a star (lose reward at Bema)? You can be a star of the show by not being the star of the show but by working behind the scene, supporting others to become better. 

One thing I learn sa paglalaro ng ML- sooner or later "Jollibee" attitude will generate resentment. Rather than papuri, you'll be hearing trash talks. Of course if you're blind to your Jollibee attitude, you might rejoice in this, thinking you're being persecuted when in fact you're developing a victim mentality. You're so self-absorbed, you didn't realize you're destroying the team. You know something is wrong in the team when joy flies out of the window. 

Learn to be a team player. Sa isang team walang puwang ang bida-bida. If you want all the glory for yourself, you shouldn't be part of a team; play by your lonesome. 

Manatiling nakapokus sa biyaya. Huwag ninyong hayaang nakawin ng mga huwad na guro ang inyong karapatang mag-isip ng doktrina.
