I am upset Charlie Kirk died

 

I always knew Christianity is the faith of martyrs. I have heard and read of believers who gave their life for the cause of the Gospel. 

But the death of Charlie Kirk hits me differently. Most of the heroes of the faith I read and admired are just names on some dusty or digital books. Hindi ko sila narinig magturo. Hindi ko nakita ang kanilang mga family and ministry photos. Hindi ko nakita kung paano sila namatay.

Pino-process ko pa rin hanggang ngayon ang nangyari. Hindi ako makapaniwala na ang isang lalaking ang tanging nais ay abutin ang mga kabataan ng kaniyang bansa ng mensahe ng Cristianismo at konserbatismo ay patay na. 

Mas madali sigurong maunawaan kung namatay siya sa gitna ng road rage. Yes magagalit pa rin ako but I can understand na ang impeto can cause someone murderous. 

O kung namatay siya sa gitna ng mainit na sagutan ng debate. Napikon ang kausap at pinatay siya. 

O habang natutulog siya, pinasok ang kaniyang bahay at pinatay siya. 

Pero ang nakaupo at nakikipag-usap regarding death, transgender at his last words, gang violence? Sino ang matinong isip na babarilin ang taong ang nais lamang ay makipagdayologo?

Publicly, in broad daylight? This is not just a simple murder of a Christian. This has a political undertone. This is an assassination of the face of a movement. Whether he was a warning by those who disagree with him or a sacrificial goat ng mga taong gustong magtayo ng agenda sa kaniyang kamatayan, the truth remains the same- Charlie Kirk is dead. 

He died because he stands for families. Why would anyone want to assassinate someone who wants to prioritize family?

He died because he stood against abortion and the culture of death. Seriously? People who thought he deserved to die for defending the life of the unborn should have been aborted. They didn't realize that they cant push for abortion if they themselves were aborted in the first place. 

He died because he stood for the biblical view or sexuality. The LGBTs have been celebrating that a thorn in their flesh is gone. 

I don't always agree with Charlie Kirk. Indeed in the few videos I saw him the Gospel, I wished he is clearer that eternal life is by faith alone in Christ alone. Not giving life to Jesus or surrendering to Him. But believe. But I recognize that he truly believes in Jesus and want others to believe in Him as well. He puts the Bible and conservative values into the public square (or at least in college campuses). 

He challenged the current narrative. And he always affirmed his faith in Jesus, his belief in the Bible and the roles they played in his life and ministry. 

To put a spin on an atheist quote, Kirk made it possible to be an intellectual and be a Christian. He showed that Christianity has an answer and maybe that's why he is killed - young people are listening. 

I prayed for the family he left behind. His kids will be fatherless and no kids should grow fatherless. No wife should be widowed because of senseless killing. 

No matter where you stood in a matter, killing the other side is not a solution. It only shows bankruptcy of your beliefs. 

May God raised more Charlie Kirks. People who shared the message of eternal life by faith alone in Christ alone. People who will share the Biblical views of family, marriage and sexuality. They said that the blood of a Christian is a seed. May thousands of Charlie Kirks replace him. As one meme says, our vengeance is revival. We'll retaliate by invading the kingdom of darkness through sharing the Truth, no matter what.
